What we collect
Your child's name, year of birth, username, the work they submit (text, files and links), and mentor feedback. For parents: name and email address. We don't collect your child's email address, phone number or photo unless they upload one as part of their project.
How we use it
Only to run the course: to show activities, collect and review project work, and send you weekly progress cards. We never sell data or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Your child, you, your child's mentors and Youth IdeaLab staff. Other students and parents cannot see your child's work. A portfolio page is only made public if you give separate permission, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Safeguarding
All communication with students happens in moderated group spaces — never private messages. Every change to your child's records is logged.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of everything we hold about your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your child's account and data.
